Pure Grenada Attracts Much Attention at Major Dive Consumer Show

St. George’s, Grenada – April 9, 2018 – Pure Grenada, Spice of the Caribbean shared new developments with hundreds of consumers, travel agents and media in the largest dive consumer show in the US, Beneath the Sea. The team attending the show at the end of March included Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) US Director of Sales Christine Noel Horsford, Aquanauts Grenada’s Gerlinde Seupel and Diane Martino of Lumbadive, Carriacou.

PURE GRENADA OFF TO GREAT START FOR 2018

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – March 1, 2018 – With the final numbers tallied, destination Pure Grenada records total arrivals of 100,654 for January 2018, an increase of more than 30% over January 2017 (75,600). In addition, all visitor categories reflected an increase including Stay over (13, 815) up by 13%, Cruise (82,797) up by 37% and Yachting (4,042) up by 43%.

PURE GRENADA LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL CAMPAIGN #FollowGrenada, Share and Win Big

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – March 1, 2018 – #FollowGrenada is the newest digital campaign from the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA). Launched on Thursday March 1, 2018 at the GTA Headquarters, the two-month local advocacy campaign invites locals, St. George’s University students and alumni as well as the diaspora to share with the world their experiences of Pure Grenada and become ambassadors for the brand.

GRENADA’S RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW TEAM READY FOR 2018

St. George’s, Grenada – February 21, 2018 – 2017 was a record year for Pure Grenada winning its 13th Gold award at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and already Team Grenada is setting its sights on gold once again. With the help of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), the Grenada Chelsea Flower Show Team led by Mrs. Catherine John, is on its way to a 14th Gold. At a short ceremony held at the GTA Headquarters, Chief Executive Officer Patricia Maher and Mrs. John signed a partnership agreement for increased financial support this year.

GRENADA UNDERWATER SCULPTURE PARK DESIGN COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Caribbean Destination Will Add New Sculpture To The Park in the Future

St. George’s, Grenada – February 14, 2018 – Citizens of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique responded overwhelmingly to the call for designs in the Underwater Sculpture Park Competition. The design competition was a collaboration between the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Grenada Underwater Sculpture Management Inc. (GUSMI). A total of 52 entries were received from a wide variety of persons including students as young as nine years old.

Pure Grenada Wins Expedia Caribbean Destination of the Year 2017 Award

The tri-island destination has been recognized for its outstanding performance and partnership with the global industry company

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – February 5, 2018 – Announced on Jan. 31, 2018 at the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association’s Travel Marketplace in Puerto Rico, Expedia named Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean, as the Caribbean Destination of the Year 2017. The coveted prize was presented to members of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) at a press luncheon held at the Puerto Rico Convention Center during the two-day industry event. Those in attendance to accept the award were; Patricia Maher, CEO of the GTA; Francine Stewart, Marketing Manager, GTA; Christine Noel, Director of Sales US Market, GTA and delegates representing the destination’s various hotel and tourism products.
