On March 3rd, the MV Persia II cargo ship was en route from the island of Trinidad to St. Vincent. At approximately 9 miles off the coast of Point Salines, the crew began to experience challenges. Grenada’s Cost Guard Officials responded to their emergency call and were able to rescue nine crew members from the sinking vessel.
Divers can visit this 1940’s general cargo ship within a couple of minutes from leaving the Point Salines Coast. MV Persia II joins our list of unique, fascinating dive sites, so it’s a must see.
