Myristic Mountain is home to some of Grenada’s most gorgeous flora and fauna, exciting hiking trails, fertile farm lands, purely organic meals and even horseback riding. With so much happening on the mountain side, the team is always open to receiving volunteers to help farm the crops, tend to the horses and plant more flora. The mountain is as healing for the volunteers and their presence is to the team members that give their hearts to that community.
The farm is open daily from 7:30am-noon Monday-Friday for volunteers who wish to help out at the farm. Afternoon, weekends and public holidays by appointment only. Wear long pants and long sleeves, wellingtons or hiking shoes.
Duties: Organic farming, weeding, harvesting, planting, cutting, digging, picking.
The farm is located in the parish of St Patrick close to Mount Reuil.
Transportation: The local buses take you to the village of Mt Rich and then you can walk to the farm or you can arrange with a taxi driver to bring you to the farm. Please let us know if you need help with arranging transportation.
Refreshment: There is farm food and drinks available to purchase at the farm.
Accommodation: There are a few hotels, AirBnb and guesthouses nearby. Camping is allowed on the farm.
If you have a skill such as pruning of trees, composting, flower arrangements, beekeeping or other farm related skills, please let us know and we can schedule training to farmers in the area.
